Meet Arianne Rice
Leadership Coach, Facilitator, & Episcopal Priest
Professional & Personal Development Who You Are and Who You’re Becoming
You are your own person, and what works for everybody else may not work for you.
Real leadership is not about fixing every problem – it’s about how you navigate the systems and problems that are not fixable. It’s a lifelong journey that requires ongoing self-reflection, but it’s not one you need to take alone.
I’m Arianne Rice, a Leadership Coach, Speaker, Daring Way™ Trained Facilitator, and Episcopal Priest
Yes, that’s right, a priest.
I used to be afraid to tell people that I’m a priest, because what if they make an assumption about the type of person I am? What if they’ve had a bad experience with the church?
But I’m not the kind of priest you might think of when you hear the word “priest.”
Twenty years ago, while living in New York and working in advertising, I discovered the Episcopal Church – a place where all are welcome, women lead, and you don’t have to leave your critical thinking at the door.
Soon, I fell in love – with talking about God and the big questions of life, with prayer, with meditation, with the practice of retreats and silence, and with the way Jesus used stories to encourage people to look inward.
So, I enrolled in seminary, embarked on a new career path, and spent the next fifteen years leading congregations in Durham, NC, and Baltimore, MD.
Through those experiences, I learned that parish ministry is many jobs all in one – running a non-profit, being an inspiring and relatable public speaker, teaching, visioning, strategic planning, fundraising, conflict resolution, outreach, community building, and, and, and.
I’ve had the honor of working with organizations like:
But spirituality, to me, is neither denominational nor religious.
Much like Brené Brown defines spirituality as our inextricable link to one another and to something greater than ourselves, I believe we are all connected to something.
You might call it a higher power, the universe, God, Allah, Jehovah, Mother Earth, or even just love. Whatever it is, I’m here for it.
Spirituality is simply one way to honor who you are and who you are becoming, so you can create the life that’s best for you.
Speaking of Brené Brown…
You’ve read her books. You’ve watched her TED Talk (and then emailed it to your mom, sister, partner, and best friend). I know because I did, too.
Brené Brown’s insights on vulnerability and courage resonated with me so deeply that in 2015, I traveled to Houston, TX, for a Daring Way™ conference for Episcopal clergy.
This motivated me to become a Daring Way™ Trained Facilitator, designing and conducting workshops for corporate trainings, hospital chaplains, non-profit boards, and faith-based retreats.
The Daring Way™ model is integral to my faith, spirituality, and commitment to adult development and learning.
Today, I coach leaders and facilitate workshops & retreats for clients in healthcare, corporate organizations, non-profits, and, of course, the church –
always drawing on my many years of experience with the unique demands of navigating non-profits and faith-based organizations.

Certifications and Credentials
While coaching does not require certifications or credentials, I take the responsibilities that come with this work very seriously – which is why I hold myself to the highest standard when it comes to certification and ongoing professional development
You can feel at ease with who you are right now (inside and outside of the office)
Most of us think there’s a better version of ourselves out there somewhere. We think that once we finally get to that destination or reach that milestone or acquire that thing, it’s all going to be ok.
But you are ok right now. You are worthy right now. You have the competencies to navigate your challenges right now. There is no “better” version of you – in life or at work.
There are, however, better ways to work and lead – ways that will help you feel confident and capable while living a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling. And you know what’s great about that? You have the ability to create the life that’s best for you.
Are you ready to begin?
